The Hutti Gold Mines Company LimitedHGML, founded on 8th July 1947 as a Govt. of Karnataka undertaking, is the only primary producer of gold in India and a member of World Gold Council. Every year, they produce 2.36 tonnes of gold in the form of Dore Bars from their 6.69 lakh MT rated capacity of ore processing. The company has also installed 11.40 MW of wind mills at Ingaldhal in Chitradurga District. As of 31st March 2018, their manpower strength was 4128, located in Hutti, Raichur District, Hyderabad Karnataka Region.
