Amol Minechem Limited was started in 1979 to make Perlite Filteraids and Perlite products, the first of its kind in India. The company started producing things at its Kadi plant in Mehsana District, Gujarat in 1982, and its main office is in Ahmedabad. It has steadily grown from making 600 tons each year to 9000 tons, and has created many new uses for its products. It also does cryogenic insulation jobs, and has special Portable Plants to do jobs on site.
